Missed out on the Codebrite Holiday Programme? There’s more on offer!

Written by VC Team

Come the holidays and you’ll find young developers improving their coding skills at Codebrite!

With 13 young coders working through HTML and CSS (Do you know what that is parents? Because they do!), they all started their very own fantastic Wiki Junior websites!

Check out what Hanana did for her website on Ed Sheeran here.

Or Sam at only eight years of age with his website on Nintendo here.

As you can see, these Codebriters blew our minds at their progress and even more at their further potential. If you feel your child missed out (or want to extend themselves further), fret not! Codebrite TermTime will be starting in May.

CodebriteTT will be happening weekly from Tuesday the 8th of May for school students and Thursday the 10th of May for homeschooled students and will be a chance for your child to work on an ongoing project while continuing to use the New Zealand made coding platform: Code Avengers.

CodebriteTT is designed for wanna-be developers aged 8 to 14, with some or no previous experience with programming, and encourages creative, fun and collective learning in a fast-paced session!

So give your children an opportunity to come join us to code weekly so they can bring more of their ideas to life!

Codebrite was brought to you by MADVentures:

MADVentures, powered by Venture Centre, works to deliver real-world, learn-by-doing events, activities, projects and experiences that introduce and connect children and teens on their own enterprising journeys - with each other and the mindset, skillset, toolsets, networks and resources they need. Find out more at https://www.madventures.nz/ or on Facebook

This would not be possible without the support of Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District councils.
